The Aqua Kohphangan

The Aqua Kohphangan is a homestay in Haad Rin, Koh Phangan, 150 m from Haad Rin Nai Beach. Its four room types include a 32 m² Family Room for up to six, alongside 16 m² options for two or three people. A Deluxe King Room adds a terrace, a view and a seating area; the other categories provide distinct bed arrangements, including a three-bed option for groups.

Guests praise the friendly staff, value and walkable setting, although feedback on room cleanliness and bathroom condition is mixed.

The room range at The Aqua Kohphangan includes a 32 m² Family Room and three 16 m² categories: Deluxe King, Triple and Quadruple. The Family Room is the largest, with three extra-large double beds and capacity for up to six. At 16 m², the Deluxe King Room is arranged for two and distinguishes itself with a terrace, a view and a seating area. The Triple Room has a double bed, while the Quadruple Room has three single beds and accommodates up to three people.

Air conditioning, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV are shared across the four options. Room facilities also include a shower, toilet, towels and free toiletries. Streaming services are available in the rooms, and refrigerators and cable channels feature in the Family, Triple and Quadruple rooms. The Deluxe King instead has a terrace and seating area, giving it a different layout from the other room types.

The Aqua Kohphangan’s shared facilities combine indoor and outdoor spaces. Outdoor furniture provides seating outside, while the shared lounge and TV area offers an indoor place to watch television. An indoor play area, board games and puzzles, bingo, evening entertainment and live sports broadcasts add a range of activities. A barber and beauty shop, massage service and on-site minimarket provide personal-care and convenience options, and grocery deliveries are available. Daily housekeeping and 24-hour security are provided; an ATM is also on site. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The media selection includes streaming services, flat-screen television, cable channels and internet services. There is no parking at the homestay.

The Aqua Kohphangan is in Haad Rin, at Koh Phangan’s southern tip, where village shops and beach venues sit close to several coves. Haad Rin Nai Beach is 150 m away, Haad Rin Nok Beach is 400 m away and Leela Beach is 450 m away. Ban Haad Rin is also 150 m from the homestay. Restaurants in the village include Ristorante Pizzeria Fellini and No Name Restaurant, Koh Phangan.

Haad Rin Queen ferry terminal is 250 m from the homestay. The direct service connects Haad Rin with Bangrak on Koh Samui and takes around 20–30 minutes, with roughly six sailings a day; from Samui International Airport, Bangrak pier is a 10–15-minute transfer. Other island connections use Thong Sala pier, followed by a shared songthaew or a scooter ride over the hilly road to Haad Rin. There is no parking at the property, and the island’s steep roads call for care if you travel by scooter.

Haad Rin Nok is the monthly Full Moon Party beach, while Haad Rin Nai and Leela offer other places to swim. Haad Yuan and Haad Thian have no road access and are reached by taxi-boat from Haad Rin. On Koh Phangan, February to April is generally the driest, calmest period; October to December brings the heaviest rain, and rougher seas affect the east coast in November and December. Jungle Flight Adventure Park is 6.2 km away for an inland outing.
